このやり取りの中で分かったビックリする事実は
１，更新系マスターＤＢは1台だけで、バックアップも無い
２，表示用は複数台（恐らく2，3台）しかない
３，マスターがクラッシュした場合、手動でＤＢを切り替えなければいけない


アプリケーションサーバーの構成などに関しては、語られていなかったので、そっちの台数が相当あるのかもしれないのですが、Twitterくらいメジャーなサービスがこんな構成で運営されていた（出来ていた）ことにはビックリです！こんな構成しか作っていなくて、ダウンが多いことを自分たちのせいにされてはRailsも堪ったもんじゃ無いですよね（苦笑）
